The boxes are made out of untreated soft wood with no preservatives on it as recommended.

The lid is removable for inspection; groves cover the back and front inside surfaces allowing the bats to hold on.

Boxes should be sited as high as possible up to 3 boxes per tree with easy access in woodlands especially close to water.

The boxes now come with a latch fitted to prevent accidental opening
