The boxes are made out of untreated soft wood with no preservatives on it.

The lid is fitted with a latch to prevent accidental opening but allow access for cleaning.

Boxes should be sited 1.5 metres high

The hole is in the back of the box there are 2 struts at the back so there is enough room for the dormouse to climb the tree and get into the box.

If the box is to be stored before use please store outside in a shed or garage
